Job summary

Follett Software, LLC is seeking a Revenue Recognition & Compliance professional to ensure accurate revenue recognition and GAAP compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess ASC 606 impacts on processes and systems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5+ years of experience, strong technical accounting skills, and a track record leading ASC 606 implementations. Fully remote access is offered within the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting.
• Technical accounting expertise.
• Ability to provide senior management with risk assessments.
• Advanced computer skills and ASC 606 expertise, with experience leading ASC 606 implementation projects.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to resolve complex problems with independent action.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606 and GAAP.
• Establish SSP pricing frameworks and review quarterly revenue adjustments.
• Draft accounting white papers and develop new revenue policies.
• Review credit impacts and assess credit reserves per standards.
• Review RFPs and contracts for accurate revenue treatment.
• Reconcile monthly revenue from Oracle to the General Ledger.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue reporting; perform variance analysis.
• Support quarterly and annual close processes related to revenue.
• Assist with annual external audits and improve internal revenue controls.
• Integrate acquired entities into revenue processes and test new SKUs.
