Job summary

Voya Financial is hiring for a remote-friendly role in the United States to provide retirement product guidance and exceptional customer service via inbound calls. You will educate customers on 401(k), 403(b), 457, and 401(a) plans, and help with inquiries while building trusted relationships.

This role offers paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities for career growth within a Fortune 500 retirement services company, with a remote-first or hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• College Degree and 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Or, in lieu of college degree (HS Diploma or GED are required), 3+ years customer service experience.
• Experience in the Financial Service industry is a bonus but not required.
• Care about customers! Has the ability to engage with customers, build rapport, share and inform, and handle objections as they come up.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions including mouse and keyboard usage, launching applications and navigating multiple systems preferred.
• Strong learning agility; flexible and adaptable to learning new things and then apply that learning to perform successfully in the role in a fast paced, metric driven environment.
• Availability to work any shift within the Monday through Friday operating hours of 7:30am – 10pm EST

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with clients to make their financial lives better; assist with plan design inquiries and account information.
• Greet customers and build trust to help them reach retirement goals.
• Explain retirement product features and annuity concepts to customers, agents and beneficiaries.
• Aim for first call resolution and take ownership of customer needs.
• Navigate multiple systems to service accounts and troubleshoot questions.
• Contribute ideas to improve business processes; voice matters at Voya.
• Maintain an excellent attendance and team-player attitude.
