Job summary

Lincoln Financial Group is seeking a Retirement Sales Director to drive growth through new sponsor acquisition with a focus on mid to large market plans ($50M+ in assets). You will craft territory business plans, manage the full sales cycle, and build durable relationships with consultants, brokers, and plan sponsors to deliver comprehensive retirement solutions.

The role requires deep retirement industry knowledge, disciplined pipeline management, and collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Defined Contribution retirement plan sales or relationship management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6, Series 63, and Life & Health licenses within 120 days of hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead new retirement plan sponsor acquisition with focus on $50M+ assets.
• Develop and execute territory and prospecting strategy to meet sales and AUM targets.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective plan sponsors through outreach and consultant relationships.
• Manage full sales cycle from engagement to final presentations, pricing, and close.
• Build and deepen relationships with retirement plan consultants, brokers and centers of influence.
• Forecast pipeline, activity, and revenue in CRM with discipline and accountability.
