Job summary

Lincoln Financial Group is seeking a Retirement Sales Director to drive growth by acquiring mid-to-large market retirement plan sponsors with $50M+ in assets. You will design and execute territory plans, build a pipeline, and collaborate with consultants, advisors and internal teams to deliver retirement solutions.

This role demands deep retirement industry knowledge, strong relationship skills, and disciplined pipeline management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Defined Contribution retirement plan sales or related relationship management.
• Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6, Series 63, and Life & Health licenses within 120 days of hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across senior leaders.
• Travel willingness to 50% for client meetings and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Lead new retirement plan sponsor acquisition focused on plans with $50M+ in assets.
• Develop territory and prospecting strategy to meet or exceed sales and AUM targets.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective plan sponsors through outreach and relationships.
• Manage the full sales cycle from engagement through price, contract negotiation, and close.
