Job summary

Lincoln Financial is seeking a Retirement Sales Director to drive growth by acquiring mid-to-large market sponsors ($50M+ in assets). You will build territory plans, manage the full sales cycle, and partner with consultants, brokers, and plan sponsors to deliver retirement solutions and exceptional client outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in defined contribution sales, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and the ability to obtain FINRA Series 6/63 and Life & Health licenses within 120

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Defined Contribution retirement plan sales or relationship management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact credibly with senior leaders and manage complex relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead new retirement plan sponsor acquisition targeting $50M+ assets
• Develop and execute territory and prospecting strategies to meet sales and AUM goals
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective plan sponsors via outreach, referrals, and consultants
• Manage full sales cycle from engagement to pricing, contract negotiation, and close
• Build and deepen influencer relationships with retirement plan consultants, advisors, and brokers
• Present tailored retirement solutions including recordkeeping, investments, and wellness offerings
• Maintain CRM pipeline, activity tracking, and forecasting; travel as needed
