Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Specialist for a fully remote role. You will learn to administer, test, and report on 401(k) plans, reviewing documents and preparing year-end filings, including the 5500.

You will support clients nationwide and grow through accelerated training. Ideal candidates have strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with proactive problem solving.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of 401(K) plan structure preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and inclusively with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist entrepreneurs nationwide with 401(k) plan administration.
• Review and prepare annual reporting documents for clients.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain needed information.
• Use Excel and admin software to perform testing and reporting.
• Communicate progress to clients via calls and emails.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings using filing software.
• Educate clients on plan administration and documents.
