Job summary

Ascend Wellness is seeking a Recruiter – Retail to lead high-volume hourly hiring across 50+ locations. You will own the full cycle from intake to offer, coordinate events, and drive candidate pipelines while ensuring compliance with cannabis regulations.

You will collaborate with Retail leadership and People Operations to onboard new hires and manage state badging. A fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and strong stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting experience in high-volume environments.
• Experience planning and leading hiring events.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel to retail locations and hiring events as needed.
• Must pass background checks for state badging and HR requirements.
• Must be over 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruiting for hourly retail roles across 50+ locations.
• Prioritize requisitions and set hiring plans by market.
• Partner with store/regional leadership to understand staffing needs.
• Plan and lead hiring events to build candidate volume.
• Coordinate candidates from application to start date and offers.
• Source proactively via ATS, job boards, referrals, and partnerships.
• Maintain a large, multi-state requisition load with compliance.
• Hand off new hires to onboarding and badging with People Operations.
• Ensure adherence to cannabis regulations and employment laws.
• Deliver a positive candidate experience and uphold employer brand.
• Track recruiting metrics and suggest process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
