Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Retail Merchandising Sales Rep to drive sales and deliver merchandising services at customer locations, including stocking shelves, executing resets, and promoting promotions. The role involves coordinating with coordinators and managers, traveling within the assigned area, and maintaining planograms and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in retail or distribution, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance as required by UNFI.
• 1+ year experience in retail or distribution; food-related product experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Influence orders by identifying sales opportunities and recommending item discontinuations; place orders and merchandise.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned customers; execute customer plans during visits and provide feedback to UNFI.
• Rotate stock, remove out-of-code items, and process returns/credits per policy.
• Communicate with UNFI personnel about competitor activity and sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with supervisors to develop action plans and meet deadlines and budgets.
• Exercise discretion in planning and selling UNFI Professional Services and product lines.
• Extensive travel within the assigned area could be required.
• Complete required documentation accurately and stay current on Shelf Services tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
