Job summary

University of Virginia is seeking an Award Setup Grants Administrator to support sponsored awards and compliance activities within the Office of Sponsored Programs. The role reports to the Award Setup Manager and offers remote work options under UVA guidelines.

Preferred candidates will have strong communication, the ability to learn new systems quickly, and the capacity to work independently while contributing to the Pre-Award team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least three years of relevant grants/contracts experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up sponsored awards in ResearchUVA and Workday Financials.
• Review awards for conformity with policies and requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues in award documents and terms.
• Advise faculty and staff on research administration compliance (FAR, UG, sponsor guidelines).
• Manage a complex portfolio and meet sponsor deadlines.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for award setup and post-award administration.
• Other duties as assigned.
