The Texas Civil Rights Project (TCRP) is inviting applications for a Summer 2027 Law Clerk or Extern in Reproductive Justice. The position is primarily remote within Texas, with some travel, and offers academic credit or funding.

The role includes mentorship and aligns with TCRP’s civil rights mission. As a law clerk or extern, you will conduct research, draft memoranda and briefs, review statutes, and assist with trial preparation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school program.
• Strong academic record with interest in civil rights or public interest law.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to social justice and advancing civil rights.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on civil rights issues.
• Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents.
• Review and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations.
