Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group recruits a Renewables Design Engineer to help issue IFC packages and general arrangements for solar PV and BESS projects. You will design from concept through construction, interfacing with civil, structural, and electrical teams, and ensuring constructability.

The role emphasizes experience with inverter-based resources, AutoCAD, andDeliverables that meet NEC/UL/ISO standards, with flexible remote/hybrid work and minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power and 4+ years’ experience.
• Understanding NEC, UL, ISO standards.
• Develop system-level schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical docs.
• Collaborate with PMs, techs, and stakeholders to implement projects.
• Distributed energy tech knowledge including solar and battery.
• AutoCAD experience for 30/60/90/IFC drawing sets.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for utility-scale PV and BESS projects from concept through construction.
• Create IFC packages: plan views, profiles, single-line diagrams, site layouts.
• Produce construction-ready drawings complying with specs and codes.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical teams.
• Review MV and distribution system layouts, cable routing, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform voltage drop, fault current, grounding, and sizing studies.
• Prepare SPDs, protection drawings, and relay coordination docs.
• Support permitting and RFI responses with utilities and AHJs.
