Job summary

Clean Energy Counsel seeks a mid-level project development associate with law firm experience to draft and negotiate renewable energy contracts such as EPCs, O&Ms, and PPAs.

The position is fully remote, allowing you to practice from anywhere you are licensed. Ideal candidates have 6-8 years of experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a record of mentoring junior attorneys in a collaborative, mission-driven firm.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years’ experience at a law firm, ideally serving renewable energy clients.
• Experience negotiating traditional renewable energy contracts (EPCs, O&Ms, PPAs).
• Strong deal management, drafting, communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Team-focused with mentoring junior attorneys.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and planning under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with project development in the renewable energy field.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals on project development matters.
• Adhere to firm policies and priorities.
• Perform other duties as requested by firm management.
• Maintain 1,200 annual billable hours with hourly bonus for exceeding this requirement.
