Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Release Train Engineer to lead the Agile Release Train for the AO Courts modernization program. The role requires guiding multiple Scrum teams, ensuring value delivery, and maintaining SAFe practices within a federal contracting setting.

You will coordinate PI Planning, program-level demos, and continuous improvement efforts, while aligning with governance and security standards. Strong coaching and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

10+ years in Agile software delivery; 8+ years as RTE or Senior Agile PM.
Deep knowledge of SAFe, Lean-Agile leadership, value stream optimization.
Experience with 6–12+ Scrum teams under a single ART.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as servant leader for the ART and align with the CMM modernization roadmap.
Plan, organize, and facilitate PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and Scrum of Scrums.
Coach SAFe adoption through mentoring and process standardization across architecture, development, testing, and operations.
Identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and impediments, escalating as needed.
Ensure cross-team coordination and visibility of sprint objectives, deliverables, and milestones across ARTs.
Maintain and communicate ART metrics (velocity, feature completion rate, defect trends) to program leadership.
