Job summary

Leidos LLC in Washington, DC is seeking a Release Train Engineer to stand up a new Agile development team for federal IT modernization. You will architect and coordinate a SAFe release train using ServiceNow, Elastic, AWS and RedHat in a secure, mission‑critical environment.

This on‑site role requires TS/SCI clearance, Security+ or higher, and a proven track record briefing leadership and aligning teams toward program objectives.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Current Security+ or higher.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Washington, DC.
• Ability to pass and maintain customer-required screenings.
• Bachelor’s 8–12 years or Master’s 6–10 years experience (or substitution).
• Experience supporting Agile software teams as Scrum Master or lead.
• Experience briefing leadership and stakeholders.
• Experience using Agile PM tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Strong time-management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead ART activities and drive Lean-Agile practices to improve delivery flow.
• Plan and manage software and architecture release schedules.
• Facilitate PI Planning and pre/post-PI sessions.
• Coordinate cross-team collaboration through Scrum of Scrums.
• Consolidate team PI objectives and publish program-level objectives.
• Track feature and capability execution with metrics across teams.
• Brief customers and leadership on progress and release readiness.
• Coach teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners in agile maturity.
