Job summary

Lumicera Health Services seeks a Reimbursement Specialist I to support manufacturer copay assistance program reimbursement and pharmacy billing processes. The role emphasizes accurate claims submission, patient data in pharmacy software, and timely responses to billing inquiries.

You will collaborate with internal teams, help reduce discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date reimbursement references while adhering to applicable laws and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with pharmacy, health plan or clinical insurance claims billing, benefit assessments, billing/claims documentation, or claims auditing is preferred.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• CPhT preferred; pharmacy tech licensure preferred in states requiring licensure.
• Basic familiarity with pharmacy software and patient billing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Monitor claims activity for accuracy and successful submission.
• Ensure patient billing information is correctly set up in pharmacy software.
• Respond to reimbursement/billing questions or complaints.
• Work with internal teams to review and resolve claim issues.
• Maintain accurate reference information relating to reimbursement and copay assistance.
• Document information, insurance and prescriptions/orders in patient profiles.
• Comply with applicable laws and uphold high ethical standards.

Education

High School Diploma/GED, some college preferred

CPhT preferred

Pharmacy technician license/trainee licensure preferred

Experience with pharmacy/health plan claims billing or auditing
