The position involves monitoring claims, interfacing with patients about billing options, and collaborating with pharmacists and billing teams to minimize discrepancies and outstanding balances. Strong attention to detail and compliance are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• CPhT preferred.
• Pharmacy technician license or trainee license preferred in states requiring licensure.
• Experience with pharmacy, health plan or clinical insurance claims billing or auditing preferred.
• Commitment to compliance and teamwork.

Aufgaben

• Monitor claims activity for accuracy and successful submission.
• Ensure patient billing information is correctly set up in pharmacy software.
• Participate in reimbursement/billing conferences and meetings.
• Respond to questions or complaints regarding reimbursement and/or billing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve claim issues.
• Maintain accurate reference information relating to reimbursement and copay assistance.
• Document information, insurance and prescriptions/orders in patient profiles.
• Comply with all applicable laws and high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
