Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist I to join our team in the United States. This role focuses on obtaining and processing manufacturer copay assistance program reimbursement and reducing discrepancies in billing, under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmacy-related billing and a commitment to accuracy and compliant processes. Responsibilities include monitoring claims, maintaining patient billing data, and assisting with patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; some college preferred.
• CPhT preferred.
• Pharmacy technician license or trainee license is strongly preferred in states requiring licensure.
• Experience with pharmacy, health plan or clinical insurance claims billing, benefit assessments, billing/claims documentation, or claims auditing is preferred.
• Participation in, adherence to, and support of compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing monitoring of claims activity for accuracy and successful submission.
• Ensure patient billing information is set up correctly in the pharmacy software.
• Participate in conferences and meetings related to reimbursement/billing as needed.
• Respond to employee/patient/client questions or complaints regarding reimbursement and/or billing.
• Work with internal teams to review and resolve claim issues.
• Maintain accurate reference information relating to reimbursement and copay assistance.
• Document information, insurance and prescriptions/orders within the patient profile thoroughly and accurately.
• Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and maintain high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
