Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist I to support the reimbursement workflow for copay assistance programs. This role handles claims monitoring, billing data accuracy, and coordination with pharmacists and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and communicate options to patients.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with preferences for CPhT or technician licensure and experience in pharmacy billing, while adhering to compliance and ethical standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• CPhT or pharmacy technician license preferred where licensure exists.
• Experience with pharmacy, health plan claims billing or related processes preferred.
• Ability to adhere to compliance programs and interact professionally with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor claims activity for accuracy and submit successfully.
• Ensure patient billing info is correctly set up in pharmacy software.
• Participate in reimbursement/billing conferences and meetings.
• Respond to questions/complaints regarding reimbursement and billing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to review and resolve claim issues.
• Maintain accurate reference information related to reimbursement and copay assistance.
• Document information, insurance, and prescriptions/orders in patient profiles.
• Comply with applicable laws and uphold high ethical standards.
