Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist I to join our team. Under direction, you will process copay assistance reimbursements, maintain billing accuracy, and support collections behavior. You may contact patients about outstanding balances and communicate billing options.

The role emphasizes adherence to procedures, knowledge of billing, and collaboration with pharmacists and internal teams to resolve issues and document patient information accurately.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• CPhT preferred.
• Pharmacy technician license or trainee license preferred where licensure is required.
• Experience with pharmacy, health plan or clinical insurance claims billing preferred.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with others.

Responsibilities

• Monitor claims activity for accuracy and submission.
• Ensure patient billing information is correctly set up in pharmacy software.
• Participate in reimbursement/billing conferences and meetings.
• Respond to questions or complaints regarding reimbursement and/or billing.
• Work with internal teams to review and resolve claim issues.
• Maintain accurate reference information on reimbursement and copay assistance.
• Document information, insurance, and prescriptions/orders in the patient profile.
• Comply with all applicable laws and uphold high ethical standards.
