Job summary

First Blue Healthcare is seeking a Regulation 44 visitor to conduct monthly visits of children’s homes and produce reports for submission to Ofsted. You will assess safeguarding, talk with children, and provide improvement recommendations.

The role is home-based, requires substantial experience in the children’s care sector, a Level 5 diploma or equivalent, and a solid grasp of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and GDPR.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the children’s care sector with management or independent visiting background.
• Deep understanding of England's Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted framework.
• Experience with quality assurance and file audits.
• Strong report writing and communication with young people.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide rigorous and impartial assessment of homes' safeguarding arrangements.
• Evaluate quality of care by speaking with children and young people.
• Provide recommendations to improve home effectiveness.
• Produce an inspection report with overview and recommendations.
• Alert director of care if safeguarding concern identified.
