We are seeking a caring, dependable and resilient Residential Support Worker to join our team. You will primarily work within children’s residential homes in Carlisle (CA1).

You will help create a safe, nurturing and structured environment where children and young people feel supported, valued and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.

About You

• You will be compassionate, patient and reliable, with the resilience to remain calm under pressure. You must be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and be able to work effectively as part of a professional care team.
• Care Certificate (or equivalent)
• An overseas police or criminal-record check, where applicable.
• Willingness to complete all required safer-recruitment checks and mandatory training.
• Previous experience in residential childcare or social care.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service. If you do not already have one, an application may be arranged.
• This appointment is subject to the organisation’s safer-recruitment procedures, including satisfactory references, right-to-work checks and an enhanced DBS check.
