Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Safety Coordinator with leadership in safety programs across the US. The role is remote-based and requires extensive overnight travel to ensure SH&E standards are implemented at branches nationwide.

You will train Safety Coordinators, conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field; 7+ years in Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems.
• Preferred CSP, ASP or CIH certification.
• Willingness to travel 75% including overnight and weekend travel.
• Must reside near a major airport hub with US-wide coverage.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and support of Project Safety Coordinators.
• Remote-based with 75% overnight travel to provide safety oversight across the US.
• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve performance.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at branches within assigned region.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits per program criteria.
• Train Safety Coordinators and ensure policy consistency across branches.
