Job summary

Dorsett Controls is seeking a Regional Sales Engineer to drive sales in the Southeast territory, with remote, on-site, or hybrid work options. The role requires regular travel to meet utilities, municipalities, and customers within the region; you will present Dorsett’s telemetry and automation solutions and develop scoping proposals for new projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the engineering field or equivalent employment experience.
• SCADA and/or Controls sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers as leads from media and directories to drive sales.
• Travel weekly throughout the southeast territory to meet customers, attend trade shows, and present the Dorsett solution.
• Demonstrate product benefits using sales materials and articulate the value proposition.
• Develop initial project scopes, salable equipment lists, pricing proposals, and scope of work for orders.
• Maintain CRM records and generate reports on business transactions and expenses.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to generate additional business.
