Job summary

Grinnell Mutual is seeking a Regional Property Claims Adjuster to handle farm and homeowners claims from a remote home office. You will travel to claim sites using a company vehicle and perform on-site inspections to determine coverage, loss, and settlement values.

You will manage high-severity claims, coordinate with agents and mutual managers, and support operations during severe weather events. Strong communication, organization, and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university with at least three years property adjusting experience.
• AIC or CPCU designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates property claims through on-site investigations, interviews, and documentation to determine damage.
• Manages a caseload of complex property claims within a geographic region.
• Determines coverage, evaluates damages, negotiates settlements, and sets reserves.
• Coaches peers on claims protocols and participates in special projects.
