Job summary

Grinnell Mutual is seeking a Regional Property Claims Adjuster to manage farm and homeowners claims from a remote home office. You will travel to claim sites using a company-provided vehicle and handle on-site investigations, determine coverages, and settle claims per company procedures.

Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required. Training is provided through the Reinsurance Adjusting Program, with opportunities for growth based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 3 years of property adjusting experience.
• AIC or CPCU designations are preferred.
• Experience with Xactimate or similar adjusting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates property claims through on-site inspections and interviews to determine damages.
• Manages a caseload of complex and high-severity property claims in assigned region.
• Determines policy coverages and negotiates settlements per procedures and protocols.
• Coordinates with law enforcement for stolen items and handles subrogation when applicable.
• Maintains documentation, prepares reports, and supports claim operations during weather events.
