Grinnell Mutual is seeking a Regional Property Claims Adjuster to handle farm and homeowner claims from a remote home office. The role involves on-site investigations, determining coverage, and negotiating settlements within a defined region.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree with at least three years of property adjusting experience and may hold AIC/CPCU designations. Travel is frequent, and a company vehicle is provided along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of three years property (home and farm owners) adjusting experience.
• AIC or CPCU designations preferred.
• Experience with Xactimate or similar adjusting tools.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Investigates property claims through on-site visits and interviews to determine damages.
• Manages a caseload of complex and high-severity property claims within a region.
• Determines coverage, negotiates, and settles claims per company policies; sets reserves.
• Maintains timely reports with findings, offers, and actions taken on each claim.
• Coordinates with law enforcement to verify items and ownership for restitution when applicable.
• Acts as liaison between customers, agents, and mutual managers; supports evaluation for future opportunities.
• Performs field inspections; assesses building value and risk; collaborates with underwriting on insurability.
• Travel 60–80% of the time; supports operations during major weather or disaster events.
