Job summary

Merck is seeking a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to drive strategic priorities and engage with scientific leaders. This credentialed director-level role covers the North East region with up to 50% travel and flexible remote work.

You will lead scientific exchanges, support investigator-sponsored research, and contribute to GMSA policies while advancing scientific education and dialogue with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Require terminal degree (PhD/PharmD/DNP/MD/DO)
• Proven excellence in scientific communications and stakeholder engagement
• Experience in COPD/Respiratory therapeutic area

Responsibilities

• Engages with national/regional scientific leaders to exchange medical information
• Leads scientific discussions and supports investigator-sponsored research
• Supports protocol discussions, site initiation, and patient enrollment strategies
• Represents scientific priorities in alignment with GMSA policies and SOPs
