Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) for Respiratory (COPD) in the Chicago region. This field-based role focuses on delivering scientifically balanced information to scientific leaders and stakeholders to support company products.

You will build and maintain relationships, discuss data, address inquiries, and stay current with the COPD/Respiratory landscape. Travel up to 50% is expected, with residency in the territory.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/DNP/DO required or equivalent terminal degree.
• Minimum 3 years of COPD/Respiratory therapeutic area experience.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with national/regional Scientific Leaders.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions; provide reliable medical contact.
• Address scientific questions and route out-of-scope inquiries.
• Maintain current knowledge of the COPD/Respiratory science landscape.
• Initiate scientific/data exchange discussions to align investigator-sponsored research.
• Recommend sites and investigators for studies; support protocol leads.
• Engage in scientific congresses to facilitate data exchange.
• Gather feedback on needs and concerns of Scientific Leaders and patients.
