Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Respiratory Medical Science Liaison (MSL) on the COPD team to advance scientific exchange and improve patient care across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Utah and Nevada.

In this field-based role, you will engage pulmonologists and KOLs, deliver clinician-ready insights, support education at meetings, and collaborate with regional teams while staying current on emerging therapies and regulatory requirements. Travel 50–70% is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree.
• 1–2 years clinical or pharma experience with respiratory exposure.
• Understanding of healthcare delivery systems and payer structures.
• Ability to build professional relationships in medical affairs.

Responsibilities

• Engage and build relationships with pulmonologists, hospitalists, and KOLs.
• Collect and share evidence-based insights to inform practice.
• Translate complex data into clinician-ready insights for field use.
• Deliver clinician education and present at regional/national meetings.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes with internal teams.
• Respond to inquiries with compliant scientific information.
• Stay current on disease state management and new therapies.
