Job summary

Capital Bank is seeking an Area Manager, Mortgage Sales to drive growth across the New England region. You will recruit and develop Branch Managers and Mortgage Loan Originators, building a high-performing team and expanding market presence.

The role requires proven leadership in mortgage sales, strong coaching and relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Marketing to execute growth strategies. This is a 100% remote position with New England focus.

Qualifications

• Proven mortgage sales leadership experience managing a branch, multi-branch operation, or regional sales territory.
• Demonstrated success recruiting and developing high-performing mortgage sales professionals.
• Strong understanding of retail mortgage sales, branch operations, recruiting strategy, and market development.
• Experience building strategic growth plans and executing against production goals.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, pricing structures, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional growth and market expansion initiatives across assigned states and territories.
• Recruit Branch Managers, producing teams, and Mortgage Loan Originators to build capacity.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and profitability.
• Coach and supportBranch Managers and Loan Officers to maximize performance.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Credit to ensure a strong customer experience.
