Job summary

Merck seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director to lead scientific exchange and collaboration with national and regional clinical leaders in hematology/oncology. You will discuss non-product areas, support investigator-initiated studies, and guide site selection for clinical development while ensuring compliance with GCP, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.

The role requires PhD/MD/DO/DNP/PharmD, 3+ years in a relevant therapeutic area, and strong networking and communication skills.

Qualifications

PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
Minimum 3 years of therapeutic area experience beyond degree.
Ability to conduct high-level discussions with external stakeholders.
Strong scientific education and dialogue focus.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

Engages in bidirectional scientific information exchange with national and regional scientific leaders.
Supports scientific exchange, research, congress activities, and insights.
Leads discussions on company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
Recommends study sites and investigators for phase II–IV programs.
Represents the company in scientific congresses and manages data exchange.
Actively contributes to an inclusive, compliant, and high-performing field medical team.
