Job summary

RiverSource Insurance, part of Ameriprise Financial, seeks a Regional Sales Director to grow insurance sales via Ameriprise Financial Advisors. The role partners with a Regional Vice President to manage a territory, build plans, and drive regional goals.

Remote work is possible for candidates >50 miles from Minneapolis; hybrid option three days in office. Required: Bachelor's degree, 3–5 years in sales, Series 6 (or within 90 days), S63/S66 or Life/Variable Licenses (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years sales/wholesaling experience.
• Active Series 6 or obtain within 90 days.
• Active State securities registration or obtain within 90 days.
• Life and Variable Contracts licenses or obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisors.
• Use a consultative sales process to influence advisors' choices.
• Partner with RVP to develop a business plan and territory.
• Handle inbound calls and convert them to sales opportunities.
• Record sales activity to maximize territory results.
