Job summary

RiverSource Insurance and Annuities seeks an Insurance National Sales Associate to promote RiverSource insurance products to Ameriprise Financial advisors, primarily via an inbound phone queue with some proactive outbound calls.

This role offers a pathway into wholesaling, enabling the development of product expertise, advisor relationships, and sales skills. Location can be Minneapolis or Charlotte; remote work is considered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of relevant work experience.
• Active Series 6 license required.
• State Securities Agent Registration (Series 63) required.
• Resident State Insurance Licenses (Variable, Health & Life) required.
• Licenses must be obtained within 120 days of start date.
• Strong relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn RiverSource annuity and life insurance products and strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with the wholesaling team and Ameriprise advisors.
• Explain product solutions and assist with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Identify proactive opportunities to engage advisors and drive sales.
