Banyan Search is seeking a Regional Controller who can operate remotely from the Denver, CO area, with candidates local to the region considered.

The role provides financial oversight across multiple sites, partnering with operational leadership to monitor performance, strengthen internal controls, and drive accountability at the branch level, including regular travel to branch locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on managerial accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems; advanced Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to translate financial info to operations.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented; manages multiple sites.
• Willingness to travel ~25-30%.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional leaders to monitor and improve financial performance across the district.
• Provide training and accountability to branch accounting staff on internal controls, ERP systems, and policies.
• Review weekly and monthly reporting for exceptions and drive corrective actions.
• Lead financial statement reviews with branch personnel; perform variance analysis and budgeting support.
• Oversee weekly cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
• Maintain ERP data integrity between local and corporate accounting groups.
• Monitor branch accounting personnel performance.
• Support auditors and audit processes; assist with mergers and acquisitions integration.
