UW-La Crosse seeks a Regional Admissions Counselor (Greater Milwaukee Area) to recruit and enroll a diverse student body. This is an off-campus role working from a home office with 50% travel across the Milwaukee area and additional Midwest travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (degree must be posted by hire date).
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including low income, first generation, urban schools.
• Excellent written communication and public speaking skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and transport materials up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time in the Greater Milwaukee area and the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement a personalized recruitment program involving high school visits, phone calls, correspondence, and campus visits.
• Represent UW-La Crosse during high school visits, at college fairs, college night programs and other events; travel is required.
• Meet with prospective students and families in various settings and explain admissions processes.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to identify prospective students and encourage applications.
• Plan and execute on- and off-campus recruitment events and campus visits from Milwaukee area to UW-La Crosse.
