Job summary

UW-La Crosse is seeking a Regional Admission Counselor to drive admissions and recruitment in the Milwaukee area. This off-campus position operates from a home office with substantial travel (50%+), evenings and weekends as needed, and represents UW-La Crosse at high schools, college fairs, and community events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (degree must be posted by hire date).
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds (low income, first generation, urban).
• Excellent written communication and public speaking skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and transport materials up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Admissions Office duties as outlined under Key Job Responsibilities.
• Coordinate and implement a personalized recruitment program including high school visits, calls, and campus visits.
• Represent UW-La Crosse at events and travel to Milwaukee area.
• Develop knowledge of UW-La Crosse academic programs and admissions policies and procedures.
• Coordinate campus visits and recruitment events, present information to groups, and follow up with applicants.
• Support recruitment strategies and use technology for recruitment efforts.
