Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Career Development Specialist for a fully virtual, national program. The role supports refugees remotely across the United States, guiding them through career planning, training, and financial assistance within an approved PAP framework.

You will coordinate with IRC units and external partners, maintain case records in ETO, and help participants access credential evaluation, recertification, and placement services. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in human services/nonprofit settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication; engage clients by phone/video.
• Ability to deliver remote services across states and protect confidentiality.
• Experience managing a high-volume caseload with organization and prioritization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and remote collaboration tools.
• Commitment to anti-racism and equitable service; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach, intake, and enrollment for eligible participants.
• Develop individualized Professional Advancement Plans (PAP) with participants.
• Coordinate with IRC units and resettlement partners to align services.
• Maintain accurate case records and comply with ORR reporting requirements.
• Ensure financial assistance requests follow PAPs and IRC controls.
