Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a Program Assistant to support the National Virtual Program for Professional Advancement. You will manage requests for disbursement, ensure proper documentation, and confirm alignment with approved plans and eligible use categories.

You’ll collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Career Navigators from a fully virtual team, handling records, reporting, and timely communication while upholding privacy and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a human services field, preferably nonprofit.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver remote services across states and time zones.
• Experience handling high-volume requests with strong organization and follow-through.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Process direct financial assistance requests and prepare them for review.
• Create PR/POs or non-PO invoices for expense processing.
• Coordinate with Finance and Master Data teams on vendor data and coding.
• Maintain audit-ready records and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
