Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking a Krio-English interpreter for remote USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum proceedings. Provide real-time interpretation with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.

Native or near-native Krio and English, 2+ years of interpreting experience, familiarity with ethics and confidentiality, and U.S. citizenship or eligible permanent resident status for clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Krio and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or NGO/government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Strong telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Krio English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum proceedings.
• Deliver interpretation with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Support both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
