Job summary

Volkert, Inc. is seeking an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support the Midwest Region, based in Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN.

This remote position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and offers opportunities to lead title searches, negotiate land rights, and prepare real estate documents across projects. Ideal candidates have up to 3 years in Right of Way or real estate, strong analytical and communication skills, and a KY real estate license (notary preferred).

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate.
• Strong analytical skills and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• KY real estate license and notary commission preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform title search updates to determine ownership of real estate and encumbrances on property.
• Document preparation for acquisition of real estate rights for client projects.
• Negotiate for acquisition of land rights.
• Negotiate settlement of property owner damage claims from construction.
• Prepare, assemble, and deliver hard copy of files and documents.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects with strong organization.
• Obtain drafted documents for due diligence on underlying real estate.
• Maintain files of real estate documents.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
