Volkert, Inc. is seeking a Real Estate Specialist to support our Midwest Region, based in Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN, with a remote work option. A high school diploma is required to be considered.

The role involves title searches, document preparation for real estate acquisitions, negotiations for land rights, and due diligence coordination, while maintaining files and handling multiple projects with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• KY real estate license and notary commission preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Perform title search updates to determine ownership and encumbrances on property.
• Prepare documents for acquisition of real estate rights for client projects.
• Negotiate land rights acquisitions.
• Negotiate settlements of property damage claims from construction.
• Assemble and deliver transfer documents and notes for files.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
• Coordinate drafted documents for due diligence on underlying real estate.
• Maintain real estate document files.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

We are currently searching for an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support our Midwest Region located in Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN. This is a remote work opportunity.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform title search updates as needed to determine ownership of real estate and encumbrances on property
• Document preparation as needed for the acquisition of real estate rights to permit the client to construct their projects
• Negotiates for acquisition of land rights
• Negotiates the settlement of property owner damage claims that result from construction of projects
• Prepares, assembles, delivers hard copy of file correspondence, transfer documents, land agent contact notes for company and acquiring authority
• Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently using exceptional organizational skills
• Communicate and obtain drafted documents for due diligence purposes related to the underlying real estate
• Maintains files of real estate documents
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

What You Need To Have

• 0 - 3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate
• Must have strong analytical skills and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• KY real estate license and notary commission preferred
