Volkert Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky seeks an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support the Midwest Region. This remote position focuses on real estate rights, title work, and negotiations for land acquisitions tied to client projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a KY real estate license and notary are preferred. You will manage documentation, due diligence, file maintenance, and multiple projects concurrently with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• KY real estate license and notary commission preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Perform title search updates to determine ownership of real estate and encumbrances on property.
• Document preparation for acquisition of real estate rights to permit client projects.
• Negotiate for acquisition of land rights.
• Negotiate settlement of property damage claims related to construction.
• Prepare, assemble, and deliver hard copy of file correspondence, transfer documents, and notes.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently with strong organizational skills.
• Communicate and obtain drafted documents for due diligence related to underlying real estate.
• Maintain files of real estate documents.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
