Volkert is seeking a Real Estate Specialist to support the Midwest Region from Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN with remote work options. You will perform title searches, document preparation, and negotiations to acquire land rights for client projects.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of Right of Way or real estate experience, strong analytical and communication abilities, and a valid driver's license. KY real estate license and notary preferred; pre-employment drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• KY real estate license and notary preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening per federal guidelines.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform title searches to determine ownership and encumbrances.
• Prepare documents for real estate rights acquisitions.
• Negotiate for land rights acquisitions.
• Negotiate settlements for property owner damage claims.
• Assemble and deliver file correspondence and transfer documents.
• Prioritize multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
• Obtain drafted documents for due diligence on real estate.
• Maintain real estate document files.

We are currently searching for an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support our Midwest Region located in Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN. This is a remote work opportunity.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

What you'll be doing:

• Perform title search updates as needed to determine ownership of real estate and encumbrances on property
• Document preparation as needed for the acquisition of real estate rights to permit the client to construct their projects
• Negotiates for acquisition of land rights
• Negotiates the settlement of property owner damage claims that result from construction of projects
• Prepares, assembles, delivers hard copy of file correspondence, transfer documents, land agent contact notes for company and acquiring authority
• Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently using exceptional organizational skills
• Communicate and obtain drafted documents for due diligence purposes related to the underlying real estate
• Maintains files of real estate documents
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

What you need to have:

• 0 - 3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate
• Must have strong analytical skills and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• KY real estate license and notary commission preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
