Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Associate Real Estate Portfolio Manager to lead negotiations, financial evaluation, and legal research for the company’s real estate portfolio.

This asset management role drives corporate real estate objectives across business units and supports senior leadership. You will collaborate with Ryder Legal, Environmental, Risk, Safety, Operations, and BU Leaders to ensure transactions follow policies and are completed timely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred real estate or related field
• Five (5) years or more professional experience in Commercial Real Estate related jobs

Responsibilities

• Manage Real Estate transactions start to finish. Source brokerage services, collaborate with brokers, locate properties and complete valuations.
• Develop and execute diverse Real Estate strategies for designated portfolio areas; make time sensitive decisions to facilitate transactions.
• Coordinate with Ryder's legal, operations, risk, tax, environmental departments to complete projects successfully.
• Lead departmental teams for the selection, evaluation, and completion of real estate transactions.
• Drive portfolio process improvement projects and ensure records are current in RE database.
• Ensure transaction processes conform to internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Develop short and long term strategic plans for facilities and evaluate portfolio improvement initiatives.
• Conduct market tests to ensure alternatives are evaluated and economics are competitive.
• Continuously evaluate processes related to Real Estate to drive out waste.
