Job summary

Horizon3 is seeking a Customer Onboarding Engineer to be the technical owner of a new customer’s first 30 days, driving production deployment of the NodeZero platform. You will manage scope, environments, identities, and go-live criteria while diagnosing complex issues in cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires deep technical depth in Linux, cloud, networking, and containerization, plus the ability to work cross-functionally with customers and internal teams to realize measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 5+ years in technical support, systems administration, cloud operations, or enterprise onboarding.
• Background in cybersecurity, including threat detection and compliance (SOC 2, GDPR).
• Strong Linux production experience with performance tuning and hardening.
• Hands-on Docker and containerization; Kubernetes or similar orchestrators.
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Fundamental networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs) and debugging tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Scripting in Bash/ Python / PowerShell for automation.
• Self-learning mindset; certifications or open-source work welcomed.
• Experience onboarding in enterprise, multi-tenant environments, and compliance needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the onboarding process for new customers within a 30-day window from kickoff to production deployment.
• Diagnose and resolve deployment failures across cloud, network, and security domains.
• Configure Linux servers, security hardening, and performance tuning in production.
• Deploy container workloads with Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes.
• Provision and troubleshoot cloud accounts (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC tooling.
• Support cross-functional teams to unblock enterprise deployments and document learnings.
