Responsibilities include billing, drafting simple pleadings, and managing case documents, with overall support for trial preparation. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in civil defense, solid MS Office skills, and a collaborative work ethic.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience
• Experience with calendaring and docketing
• Drafting basic pleadings and legal correspondence
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading
• Associate or Bachelor degree a plus, not required

Responsibilities

• Client billing and sending invoices
• Drafting simple legal documents such as discovery requests, notices, subpoenas
• Organizing and filing documents, including pleadings and case materials
• Answering phones and communicating with clients and others; respond to emails
• Prepare documents for proceedings such as trials and hearings
• Assist with trial preparation (exhibits, equipment)
• Familiarity with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and DMS
