Job summary

Lydecker is seeking an entry-level candidate to join its defense litigation practice group. You will support attorneys with calendars, filings, and document organization while gaining exposure to court proceedings and discovery.

The role emphasizes organization, communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A degree is a plus, and hybrid work arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates are welcomed to apply.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to type, use internet and spreadsheet software, and operate office equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and court personnel.
• Some familiarity with Clio and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
• Support attorneys with administrative duties: calendars, hearings, deadlines, case files, logistics.
• Assist with e-filing in state or federal court as needed.
• Organize exhibits, documents, and briefs for efficient reference (Clio used).
• Draft basic pleadings under attorney supervision and respond to discovery requests.
• Assist with mediation or trial preparation as needed.
