Job summary

Optum is seeking an Administrative Medical Assistant to support OMG providers in Eugene, OR. The role begins fully onsite for 3–6 months and then transitions to remote work, offering flexible arrangements as you contribute to patient care and documentation in the EMR.

You will handle patient communication, document histories and medications, and assist with immunization schedules under the provider’s guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• MA Certification from the AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Healthcare provider CPR/BLS certification required, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Lives within a commutable distance of Eugene, OR for 3-6 months of onsite training.

Responsibilities

• Responds to incoming calls and emails; schedules appointments.
• Obtains patient histories, medications, immunizations, and data in the EMR.
• Retrieves lab and radiology results; instructs patients per provider.
• Follows prescription refill workflow and documents; coordinates with providers.
• Interprets current immunization schedules; performs other duties as assigned.
