Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks an Administrative Medical Assistant to support OMG providers in Eugene, OR. The role covers patient intake, data collection in EMR, and coordinating care with the provider. Initially onsite for 3–6 months, then remote work becomes possible.

The position requires compassionate service, CPR/BLS, and MA certification within 60 days, with 1+ year of MA experience and Oregon commuting capability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• MA Certification from AAMA/NCCT/NHA/AMT or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience.
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Lifestyle within commuting distance of Eugene, OR for onsite training.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls and messages, schedules appointments.
• Obtains patient histories, medications, immunizations, data in EMR.
• Retrieves lab and radiology results and guides patients on meds and treatment.
• Follows prescription refill workflow and coordinates with provider for inputs.
• Performs duties as assigned.
