Job summary

OptumCare in Eugene, OR is seeking an Administrative Medical Assistant to support OMG providers, gathering medical histories, medications, and immunizations, and to help establish rapport with patients. The role is fully onsite in Eugene for 3-6 months, then transitions to a remote work location, offering flexibility as you collaborate with the care team to streamline workflows and improve patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• MA Certification from AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT required, or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• 1+ year Medical Assistant experience.
• CPR/BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Lives within commutable distance of Eugene, OR for 3-6 months onsite training.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and schedule appointments as directed.
• Obtain patient histories, medications, immunizations in EMR.
• Retrieve lab/radiology results and educate patients on medications.
• Follow the prescription refill workflow and coordinate with providers.
• Understand immunization schedules and assist with care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
